The Hound of the Baskervilles: Students are cruising right through this book! They seem to like it, and I'm thrilled. We'll tackle chapters 4-6 this week, and I'll be handing out an assignment to complete a map of the Devonshire area. I want students to be able to visual the area so that they can better comprehend the story. Reminder: there is a half day on Wednesday.
Vocabulary: "bi" prefix. Word search will be due 11/8; quiz 11/9 Grammar: TBD (I accidentally gave students a 7th grade packet; will adjust and reissue grammar later this week). Also, students should be reading 20 minutes nightly (a book of choice, or reviewing/getting ahead in The Hound of the Baskervilles). Access the vocabulary here. |
