resume writing
The purpose of a resume is to demonstrate to a prospective employer your skills, experience, and strengths.
Watch this video first*: How to write a resume - with no work experience!
*-It's only five minutes long. Yes, it's cheesy - but it's a good example (and trust me; I watched a lot of bad examples).
Next, brainstorm and write down a list of jobs, volunteer experience, activities/clubs/sports. Then, write down what tasks you performed at each.
Finally, format the information. Look at the sample resume from the video, use one of the templates in Google docs, or find/search free templates online.
We will use time during Hobbit discussions on Wednesday to work on resumes. I can also schedule an evening Zoom session if people want to work on this together.
PARENTS - if you want to update your resume, please join in!
